Saluting a Fresh Tracks Leader

There is nothing that we strive for more at LBC Action than connection. On Friday I had dinner with my friend Kimberly Pikok who I first met in 2016 on the inaugural Fresh Tracks Action exchange when she was a High School student. Kim from day one was a leader with a quiet passion and ability to connect with others and bring people together. Over the last nine years Kim has continued to grow as a leader in the Aspen Forum For Community Solutions (AFCS) community and has just graduated with her M.A. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and is a teacher in her hometown of Utqiagvik (Barrow) Alaska. As I head down to Los Angeles for the annual Aspen Forum For Community Solutions (AFCS) Convening, I see Kim as the living embodiment of the impact of Fresh Tracks Action. Kim is now a peer and it is an honor to learn from her and support her. Building community creates opportunity and we are proud for LBC Action to learn from so many leaders like Kim.
