A joint initiative called Military Families Outdoors supports the health and wellbeing of service members and military families through hands-on experiences in the outdoors.
At an October canoeing event on the Anacostia River in Washington D.C., LBC Action partners Blue Star Families and Wilderness Inquiry launched a joint initiative called Military Families Outdoors, which focuses on supporting the health and wellbeing of service members and military families through intentional, hands-on outdoor experiences. The effort is supported by a $5 million appropriation through the Department of Defense that was championed by Congresswoman Betty McCollum.
