Creating, supporting, and expanding youth employment and workforce development programming is the focus of a collaboration between Fresh Tracks and the Department of the Interior.
On December 5, 2023, Fresh Tracks, a program of The Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions, announced a new partnership with the United States Department of the Interior. This new collaboration will allow the US Department of the Interior and Fresh Tracks to work together towards shared goals of creating, supporting, and expanding programming, including youth conservation programs and projects, youth education programs, and youth employment and workforce development programs.
Fresh Tracks was founded in 2016 under the leadership of LBC Action Principal Martin LeBlanc and Juan Martinez, now the Senior Program Manager at The Aspen Institute Forum for Community Solutions. LBC Action helped facilitate the partnership with the Department of the Interior and was part of the host committee with Native Americans in Philanthropy. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland pointed to this partnership during the opening remarks of The White House Tribal Nations Summit.
